If you want a hamburger made with a square patty that wasn’t stored in a freezer, you can visit Wendy’s. This restaurant also serves chili, french fries, and frosty treats, among other things. Anyway, here are the payment methods that you can use at Wendy’s.

You can use Apple Pay at Wendy’s now. In 2022, it started replacing the old point-of-sale terminals at its restaurants with new ones that accept contactless payments. These upgrades have been completed in my area and since this project was launched 2 years ago it’s likely that Wendy’s restaurants elsewhere have new terminals as well.

The Wendy’s app also accepts Apple Pay for mobile orders. Some of its restaurants also have special parking spots out front where you can pick up mobile orders for added convenience.

This is also one of the few fast-food restaurant chains that accepts $50 and $100 bills, although this depends on whether the restaurant has enough cash on hand to break them. You probably shouldn’t try to use a large bill there late at night.

In states where the Restaurant Meals program is available, if you qualify for this program you can use EBT at participating Wendy’s restaurants. There are Wendy’s restaurants in Ventura, Orange, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Los Angeles counties that have signed up for this program. I didn’t see any locations in San Bernardino or Kern County that accepted this form of payment, though. Wendy’s, like the other major fast-food burger chains, has a lot of locations that accept EBT in Southern California but as usual you can only use it if you order your meal at the restaurant.

Other Things To Know About Wendy’s

While Wendy’s is considered a fast-food restaurant, it doesn’t store its meat in the freezer. That’s a practice that’s more common at fast-casual restaurants like Five Guys that have higher menu prices. In-N-Out doesn’t store its ingredients in the freezer either but many fast-food restaurants do store them there to save money.

You can also order baked potatoes at Wendy’s. While many fast-food burger restaurants serve french fries, and some of them even have additional types of fries such as waffle fries and curly fries, it’s less common for them to serve baked potatoes.

More Restaurants Like Wendy’s Where You Can Use Apple Pay

The fast-food burger restaurant Original Tommy’s specializes in chili entrees. It serves chili dogs as well as chili burgers and many locations have 24-hour drive-thru lanes. It’s very popular in Los Angeles.

While it’s a burger restaurant, Jack in the Box has a broad menu that also includes rice bowls, egg rolls, and tacos. It also has lots of restaurants with 24-hour drive-thru lanes.

You can order charbroiled burgers, chicken sandwiches, and other entrees at Carl’s Jr. It also has pop-up Green Burrito restaurants that serve Mexican food at some locations. Some of its restaurants also have 24-hour drive-thru lanes.

A fast-food restaurant with a limited menu, the burger restaurant In-N-Out serves burgers, fries, milkshakes, and soda but not much else. You can customize your order there if you’re familiar with its ingredients though.

The classic fast-food restaurant Fosters Freeze also serves burgers and fries as well as frosty treats. In my area, it also serves corn burritos, which are taquitos with a refried bean filling topped with cheese and sauce.
