Whether you visit a WaBa Grill restaurant in person or order online with its app, you can use Apple Pay to pay for your meal there. This restaurant also accepts Google Pay for both in-person and online orders. It doesn’t accept PayPal or Venmo, though. It’s uncommon for restaurants to offer these payment options but Panda Express does have terminals at its restaurants where you can scan PayPal and Venmo QR codes to pay for your meal and some restaurants also have apps that accept PayPal.

If you live in a few Southern California counties, you can pay with EBT at WaBa Grill if you qualify for the Restaurant Meals program. Several of its restaurants have signed up for this program. Most of the WaBa Grill restaurants that accept this form of payment are located in Orange County but there are also a few locations in Los Angeles County and Riverside County that accept it. I didn’t see any WaBa Grill locations in Ventura, San Bernardino, or San Diego counties that accepted EBT, though. The Restaurant Meals program is also available in a few other states but there might not be WaBa Grill locations there.

There are a few other Asian chain restaurants that accept EBT at some of their locations in Southern California as well and these restaurants include Yoshinoya and Teriyaki Madness. Yoshinoya has a lot of locations in both Los Angeles and Orange counties. But Panda Express, one of the most common Asian fast-food restaurants, doesn’t accept this payment option.

More Things to Know About WaBa Grill

WaBa Grill is a fast-casual fusion restaurant that was established in Orange County and its first restaurant is located in Anaheim. It eventually expanded throughout Southern California and it now has locations in many other cities, including Ventura. Like other fast-casual restaurants, it uses higher-quality ingredients than fast-food chains and carries a few specialty items. You can also pick seafood, steak, or tofu as protein choices when you order a rice bowl there and these options aren’t always available at every restaurant.

You should also know that WaBa Grill is a made-to-order restaurant like Yoshinoya, Pick Up Stix, and Teriyaki Madness. Like other fast-casual restaurants, the restaurant’s cook might take several minutes to prepare your order. Panda Express, on the other hand, is a cafeteria-style restaurant that stores ingredients in heated metal trays. This means it can serve meals very quickly because an employee just has to add each ingredient to your plate to prepare your order.

Other Asian Restaurants Where You Can Pay With Apple Pay

The Japanese quick-service restaurant Yoshinoya is best known for its beef bowls served with rice and vegetables. It also offers other protein options and serves side orders such as spring rolls.

The Chinese restaurant Panda Express is known for serving food quickly. With its cafeteria-style format, you won’t have to wait around for your meal and it even has drive-thru lanes at some locations.

Fast-casual restaurant Pick Up Stix serves both Chinese and Thai entrees. It’s also a popular restaurant chain in Southern California and it has locations in several upscale neighborhoods.

The fast-casual Japanese restaurant Teriyaki Madness is another place where you can get rice bowls with stir-fried meat. It also serves side orders like pot stickers and egg rolls.
