You can use Apple Pay to pay for your meal at The Habit because its restaurants have terminals that support contactless payments. That also means that this restaurant accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay. At locations with drive-thru lanes, you can also use the mobile wallet on your phone to pay for your order in the drive-thru lane. The Habit doesn’t accept PayPal or Venmo, though.

It’s also noteworthy that The Habit has some restaurants with drive-thru lanes because fast-casual restaurants don’t always offer this amenity. Quick-service restaurants are more likely to have drive-thru lanes but some of them are also known for focusing on speed and price instead of ingredient quality.

The Habit doesn’t accept cash for online orders, but if you use a third-party delivery app like DoorDash to have a meal delivered from this restaurant, some delivery apps allow you to select cash on delivery as a payment option.

The Habit accepts EBT in one specific region, Riverside County in California, where this payment option is available at several locations. In California and a few other states where the Restaurant Meals Program is available, individual restaurants can sign up for this program and allow qualifying customers to pay for their meals with EBT. The Habit restaurants in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties don’t accept EBT.

If you don’t live in Riverside County, quick-service burger restaurants like Jack in the Box, Wendy’s, and Burger King accept this form of payment at many more locations in Southern California. And if you live elsewhere, fast-food restaurants in other states with the RMP can also participate in this program.

More Background Information About The Habit

Some of the local restaurants in my area became so popular that they eventually grew into major restaurant chains and The Habit is one of them. Its first restaurant was established in Goleta and it’s still operating. The Habit built its original fan base by serving burgers to university students, who often don’t have large food budgets, even though it has higher prices than other fast-food burger restaurants. I think that’s impressive. The University of California, Santa Barbara is also located in Goleta.

You can also order some specialty sandwiches at The Habit. Its menu includes tri-tip sandwiches, albacore sandwiches, and pastrami sandwiches and you’re not likely to find these entrees at other fast-food burger restaurants. So while this restaurant is best known for its burgers and fries, it’s also noteworthy that it serves these specialty sandwiches.

Other Burger Restaurants Where You Can Pay For Your Meal With Apple Pay

You can also order char-grilled burgers at Carl’s Jr. Both restaurants serve burgers, french fries, soft drinks, onion rings, and similar items, but The Habit is a fast-casual restaurant and Carl’s Jr is a fast-food restaurant.

Best known for its square hamburger patties, Wendy’s also serves chicken sandwiches, chili, and frosty treats. While it’s a quick-service restaurant and not a fast-casual restaurant like the Habit, it does make additional efforts to ensure high food quality.

You can order burgers, french fries, and milkshakes at In-N-Out but it doesn’t serve much else. It maintains high ingredient quality while keeping prices low by using a very limited menu.

The fast-casual burger restaurant Five Guys uses the same strategy. It serves burgers, fries, and milkshakes but not much else and it’s known for both its high-quality food and its large portions.

You can order beer as well as burgers at the fast-casual burger restaurant Fatburger. Fast-food restaurants usually don’t serve beer but some fast-casual restaurants do serve it.

The fast-casual burger restaurant Smashburger is known for using a different cooking method than other burger restaurants. It serves vegetarian burgers and sandwiches as well.
