If you’re hungry and want to order a taco, burrito, or tostada, you can get them even late at night if you visit Taco Bell. This Mexican restaurant’s drive-thru lanes are open late. Anyway, here are the payment methods you can use at Taco Bell.

Frequently Used Forms of Payment at Taco Bell

You can use large bills like $50s and $100s at Taco Bell restaurants if the manager allows it but this also depends on whether the cash register has enough change available to break the bill. For the best chance of acceptance, only use these bills if you’re making a large order and the total is close to the value of the bill. Taco Bell has low menu prices compared to other restaurants so you shouldn’t need to use large bills there unless you’re buying lots of food.

This is also one of the restaurants where you can use Apple Pay for both in-store and online orders. Taco Bell’s mobile app accepts both Apple Pay and Google Pay and its restaurants also have point-of-sale terminals that accept contactless payments from mobile wallets. Additionally, you can use PayPal for online orders at Taco Bell.

Alternative Payment Options for Taco Bell

In states where the Restaurant Meals program is available, such as California, participants can use EBT at restaurants that participate in the program. There are some Taco Bell restaurants in Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, and Los Angeles counties that accept this payment option and there are also some restaurants in Northern California that accept it.

Additionally, some co-branded KFC/Taco Bell restaurants accept EBT. There may be Taco Bell restaurants in other states where the RMP is available that accept this form of payment as well. Again, this option is only available to EBT users who qualify to participate in the Restaurant Meals program because Taco Bell is a restaurant and not a grocery store. You can also use EBT at many Del Taco and El Pollo Loco restaurants in Southern California through the RMP.

While Taco Bell does accept PayPal for online orders, restaurants often don’t accept PayPal credit or other BNPL apps.

Additional Information About Taco Bell

Like other quick-service restaurants, Taco Bell has low prices and prepares food very quickly. It also has unique entrees such as Mexican Pizza, a tostada with cheese, sauce, and other toppings placed on top of a layer of beans and a second tostada. Its double-decker tacos, which contain two tacos separated by a bean filling, might also be a unique entree because I haven’t seen them elsewhere. Another one of its unique items is Doritos tacos, which have taco shells coated with Doritos tortilla chip flavoring. In short, Taco Bell serves several entrees that you won’t see at more traditional Mexican restaurants.

More Restaurants Like Taco Bell Where Apple Pay Is Available

Another popular Mexican quick-service restaurant in Southern California, El Pollo Loco’s specialty is grilled chicken. Its restaurants typically have drive-thru lanes as well.

If you want to order french fries with a taco or burrito, you can go to Del Taco. It’s one of the few Mexican restaurants that serves french fries. Many of its locations in my area also have 24-hour drive-thru lanes. Since other Mexican restaurants don’t stay open all night, its drive-thru lanes can be very busy at off hours.

A Mexican fast-casual seafood restaurant, Rubio’s is best known for its fish tacos. It also serves a few other entrees that you’re unlikely to see elsewhere such as shrimp and lobster tacos. You can order chicken and beef tacos there as well.

You can also order tacos, burritos, and other Mexican entrees at Baja Fresh. It’s a fast-casual restaurant that’s known for its salsa bar and its collectible plastic drink cups.

In the Mountain West, Taco John’s is another prominent Mexican quick-service restaurant that serves tacos, burritos, and other entrees. It’s a regional restaurant chain that primarily operates in the Mountain West. It doesn’t currently have any restaurants in California, but it does have restaurants in Nevada.
