While you have several ways to pay for your chili burger at Original Tommy’s including cash, credit cards, and mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay, you can’t order online there. Like a few other fast-food restaurants such as In-N-Out, this chili restaurant only has store locator apps for mobile phones but doesn’t accept online orders.

It’s likely that this is because the food tastes better when you eat it at the restaurant and isn’t meant to be delivered. Restaurants may need to adjust their menus or purchase special packaging to support delivery customers if their food doesn’t travel well. Original Tommy’s restaurants do have drive-thru lanes, though. You can’t use PayPal or Venmo to pay for your meal at this chili restaurant either.

Again, you can’t order online at this chili restaurant so any app that only supports online payment won’t work there. Original Tommy’s doesn’t accept EBT either. It’s not clear why it doesn’t accept this payment option but I checked the Restaurant Meals program participant lists for several Southern California counties and didn’t see it there. If you’re looking for an alternative, Wendy’s and Jack in the Box have many restaurants in Southern California that take EBT.

More Things to Know About This Chili Burger Restaurant

Again, this restaurant serves a lot of chili entrees and its menu also includes chili cheeseburgers, tamales, and breakfast burritos. It’s a retro-style restaurant like In-N-Out and Fosters Freeze and like these restaurants, Original Tommy’s has a large fan base in LA. There are a few other restaurants with similar names that also sell chili burgers in LA, but this chain is the original one. Additionally, Original Tommy’s also has 24-hour drive-thru lanes at many of its restaurants.

Other Fast-Food Burger Restaurants Where You Can Pay With Apple Pay

You can also order burgers and fries as well as egg rolls, rice bowls, tacos, and Churros at Jack in the Box. It has a broad menu for a fast-food burger restaurant.

If you’d like to order some ice cream with your burger and fries, you can visit Fosters Freeze. It doesn’t have a mobile app either, which indicates that its meals are also meant to be eaten at the restaurant.

Another popular retro-style burger restaurant, In-N-Out is known for using higher-quality ingredients than other fast-food chains and it doesn’t freeze its ingredients either.

You can order both chili and ice cream at Wendy’s, although it’s best known for its square burger patties. It doesn’t store its meat in the refrigerator either.

If you’re ordering a chili dog, you can also get one at Wienerschnitzel. This hot-dog restaurant also serves many other types of hot dogs, including vegetarian hot dogs.

If you like char-grilled burgers, you can get one at Carl’s Jr. You can also order Mexican food at the pop-up Green Burrito locations inside its restaurants. It doesn’t serve hot dogs, though.
