Firestone Payment Methods

A Firestone auto service shop.

Does your car need new tires? If it does, you might want to visit a Firestone Complete Auto Care shop. This auto service chain is owned by the famous tire manufacturer Firestone. It’s been around since 1926 and that’s noteworthy. Many people did not own cars when this company was founded so the demand for auto repair services was limited. That indicates that Firestone’s repair shop chain has been in business for much longer than other auto shop chains.

In addition to tire replacements, Firestone service shops also provide other services such as oil changes, vehicle inspections, brake services, tire rotations, and smog checks. They also carry car batteries and can install them for you as well. You’ll see these service shops in many Southern California cities. Here are the payment methods you can use at Firestone.

Does Firestone Accept Major Credit Cards?

Firestone accepts Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover cards. It accepts both debit cards and credit cards and it also accepts cash.

Does Firestone Accept Mobile Payment Methods?

Firestone Complete Auto Care shops don’t accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or other contactless payment methods. I checked the Apple Maps profiles of the Firestone shops in my area and contactless payments didn’t appear on those profiles.

It’s not clear why Firestone shops don’t accept contactless payments, but it’s possible that auto service shop customers don’t use this payment option very often so Firestone doesn’t need to support it. Other auto service shops in my area do accept contactless payments, though.

Firestone does have mobile apps that you can use to schedule service appointments at its shops, though, and that’s also noteworthy. Several of its competitors don’t have mobile apps so you can only schedule an appointment by calling a service shop on the phone.

Does Firestone Accept International Payment Methods?

It’s very likely that Firestone can accept JCB, UnionPay, and RuPay global cards by processing them through the Discover network. Its parent company Bridgestone is based in Japan and its auto shops are company-owned.

Does Firestone Accept Buy Now, Pay Later?

You can use the BNPL app Sezzle at Firestone. It doesn’t accept Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, Zip, or PayPal, though. If you’re looking for a way to buy this company’s tires with a BNPL app, there is a workaround available. Many other auto shops sell Firestone’s tires in their online stores and some of these auto shops do accept BNPL apps.

Does Firestone Have Its Own Payment Methods?

Firestone has branded credit cards. These cards are issued by Credit First National Association, a subsidiary of Bridgestone. Firestone is also a subsidiary of Bridgestone. This is noteworthy because many retail stores have branded credit cards that are issued by their partner banks, but Firestone’s credit card is issued by a bank that’s owned by its parent company.

What’s Another Useful Fact About Firestone?

Firestone Complete Auto Care shops also carry Bridgestone tires. This makes sense because Bridgestone owns Firestone.
