You have several payment options at this diner including credit cards, cash, and mobile wallets. Denny’s began installing Presto tablets at its restaurants in 2019 and the roll-out should now be complete so you can use Apple Pay and Google Pay to pay for your meal at any of its locations. These tablets also accept payments from other mobile wallets that use tap-to-pay but they don’t accept PayPal and Venmo QR codes.

One noteworthy thing about Denny’s is that it accepts EBT at many of its Southern California restaurants. In California and other states where the Restaurant Meals program is available, restaurants can accept EBT from RMP participants. Most of the restaurants that participate in this program are fast-food burger and taco restaurants and this is one of the few casual-dining restaurants that have signed up for it.

While lots of Southern California fast-food chains have 24-hour drive-thru lanes, Denny’s is also one of the only restaurants with an indoor dining area that’s open 24 hours. It also accepts EBT at many locations in Southern California, although this payment option might not be available at every location.

More Things to Know About This Diner

While Denny’s serves a large variety of tasty American-style entrees, the main reason why it’s popular is that it’s always open. If you’re working a shift job and your shift ends early in the morning, or you want to eat a meal after going to a music show in LA, you can always go to Denny’s. It’s also a good place to go if you’re on a road trip and many of its diners are located near freeway off-ramps.

Like other diners, this restaurant has tables inside with enough room to seat a group as well. This is also an affordable restaurant but since it’s a diner it does have higher prices than fast-food chains.

Other Restaurants like Denny’s That Accept Apple Pay

Another diner with many locations in California, Black Bear Diner is also open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s a newer diner that’s displacing some of the older diners that have lost popularity.

Known for its pancakes and other breakfast options, IHOP was originally called the International House of Pancakes. It also serves lunch and dinner and some of its restaurants in LA are open 24 hours.

Another popular casual-dining restaurant, TGI Friday’s serves American-style food such as burgers and steaks and it also makes mixed drinks.

A casual diner and bakery that’s also open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Shari’s Cafe and Pies is also open 24 hours in some locations. It has several restaurants in Northern California.

Best known for its pies, Marie Callender’s is a casual-dining restaurant that also makes packaged food. If you don’t live near one of its restaurants you can still buy its pies at the grocery store.
