You can pick up prescription drugs and use several healthcare services at the drugstore CVS. It’s also a retail store where you can also buy snacks, personal care products, and beauty products. Anyway, here are the payment methods that CVS accepts.

This drugstore accepts most commonly used payment options. Its in-store terminals not only support Apple Pay and Google Pay, they also allow you to pay with PayPal and Venmo QR codes. These options are available at some of the other major drugstore chains as well, but other retail stores are much less likely to accept PayPal for in-store purchases even if they accept it online.

You can use buy now, pay later apps to finance your purchase at this drugstore. CVS accepts Klarna, Afterpay, and PayPal credit. It doesn’t accept CareCredit, another healthcare financing option, though. CareCredit is primarily used at clinics and hospitals but the drugstores Rite Aid and Walgreens both accept it and so does Walmart.

CVS also accepts EBT for qualifying items. You can use EBT to buy food there but you can’t use it to buy non-qualifying products such as hair dye and shampoo. Additionally, this payment option might not be available at every CVS store. Its drugstores in my area do sell groceries and they do accept EBT, though.

Other Useful Information About CVS

You can buy a wide variety of products at this store, including razors, batteries, eyeglasses, and other items that might be hard to find elsewhere. CVS is similar to big-box stores like Walmart and Target that sell many essential products. Additionally, some of its stores are also open 24 hours and like other drugstores it also has pharmacies with 24-hour drive-thru lanes. In several ways, CVS and the other big-box drugstores are like very large convenience stores.

CVS and the other drugstores also sell vitamins, supplements, protein powder, energy drinks, and other consumables that supplement stores sell. Unlike specialized supplement stores, CVS accepts EBT, so if these products are labeled as food products you can use EBT to buy them at this drugstore.

Stores Like CVS Where You Can Also Use Apple Pay

You can also buy a wide variety of consumer goods and use the in-store healthcare clinics at Walgreens. It also has pharmacies with drive-thru lanes that provide additional convenience.

Another drugstore that provides vaccinations and fills drug prescriptions is Rite Aid. It also sells over-the-counter medication, personal care products, and groceries. Additionally, its drugstores have ice cream shops.

An association of independently operated pharmacies, The Medicine Shoppe is another prominent pharmacy brand. Its stores primarily provide pharmacy products and services and don’t sell many of the other products that are available at CVS.

You can also buy vitamins, protein powder, and energy drinks at the supplement store GNC. It stocks some exclusive supplements that CVS doesn’t sell, but it doesn’t have in-store pharmacies.

Another prominent supplement store, Vitamin Shoppe also sells products such as vitamins, nutraceuticals, nootropics, and energy drinks but also doesn’t operate traditional pharmacies.

The specialized vitamin and supplement store NutriShop sells products for weight loss and body building. It doesn’t have in-store pharmacies that sell prescription drugs either.
